Get That Tutor Guy! 3 Tips to Help You Out
Get That Tutor Guy! 3 Tips to Help You OutIf you have a crush on that tutor guy, you may want to be as smart as possible when it comes to getting the tutoring you really want. In this article, I will discuss three tips to help you on your way.If you are someone who is interested in taking a math class with your tutor, then you need to realize that taking a tutoring session can be a tough decision. Would you rather work on your math homework, or would you rather sit down with your tutor and talk about things? Of course, you might say the latter would be much better. I'll tell you why.Math homework is usually boring. Whether you like it or not, you have to sit there and do it for weeks or months on end. The number of hours that you have to study just to have a chance at getting an A is insane. When you sit down with your tutor, it's much easier to concentrate on the lessons you have to learn. If you spend the time on something you are really interested in, then you can dedicate yourself to it like nothing else, and your grades will probably go up.Another thing to remember is that when you are talking with your tutor, you're usually not being taught the same concepts that you are being taught in the class. You're being given the chance to talk about what you already know and to find out how it can be applied in your future lessons. This makes tutoring really beneficial, because you are learning as well as your tutor. Since your tutor is the one teaching you, it's also important to be honest about your weaknesses so that your tutor can help you improve. When you do all these, you'll be ready to go out and meet your tutor. And that is when you can make your love for that tutor go through the roof.

Circle Surface Area - Math Online Tutoring
Circle Surface Area - Math Online Tutoring A circle is set of all the points that are in the same plane and equidistant from a central point. The radius of acircle is a line segment that joins center of the circle and any point on the circle. The circle surface area isthe space occupied by the circle. Therefore the formula to calculate surface area of a circle is r2. Surfacearea is also simply called area of the circle. This surface area is a very useful tool and may be betterexplained by the following examples. Example 1: Find the surface area of a circle. The radius of the circle is 30 cm. Solution: For the given problem Radius of the circle r = 30 m. Surface area of a circle = r2 When we replace the value of radius, we get, Surface Area = x 30 x 30 = 3.14 x 900 = 2826 m2. The Surface area of the circle will be 2826 m2. Example 2: A circular tank needs to be painted black. Find area of the cover of a circular tank. Theradius of the tank is 10 m. Solution: For the given problem Radius of the tank r = 10 m Surface area of the cover of tank = r2 When we replace the value of the radius, we get; Surface Area = 3.14 x 10 x 10 = 314 m2 Surface area of the cover of circular Tank is 314 m2

Top Five TED Talks for Parents of Children with ADHD 2019 TED Talks are inspiring video presentations from influential speakers on a wide range of topics including health, science, education, and creativity. When it comes to topics related to ADHD, speakers often have personal experience and encourage us to think differently about what it means to be different in a society that prizes conformity. When youre feeling bogged down by the extra work that comes with parenting a child with ADHD, these invigorating talks may just give you the boost that you need. Here are the top five TED Talks that I recommend for parents of kids with ADHD. Failing at Normal: An ADHD Success Story Speaker: Jessica McCabe Jessica McCabe, host of the popular YouTube channel, How to ADHD, talks about her journey from being a bright child with a promising future to a struggling young adult unable to find her way personally or professionally. ADHD As a Difference in Cognition, Not a Disorder Speaker: Stephen Tonti When he presented this TED Talk, Stephen Tonti was a senior at Carnegie Mellon University majoring in Film Directing. He shares his personal experiences with ADHD and explains how he has come to realize that ADHD is not actually a deficit in attention, as the name would imply, but a difference in cognition. Stephen argues that once we understand these differences, they can be harnessed and used to turn passion and interest into real world success. What Happens in Your Brain When You Pay Attention Speaker: Mehdi Ordikhani-Seyedlar, PhD In this talk, Dr. Ordikhani-Seyedlar, a computational neuroscientist specializing in machine learning, discusses what is happening in our brains when we pay attention. He describes in easy to understand language the complex processes our brains go through when focusing on something specific while filtering out irrelevant information. But you want to make sure that your future is not limited simply because you are not sure of how to write a cover letter! Do not let your insecurities limit your future. A great cover letter can be written by both writers AND non-writers alike, if you follow the following tips! Know What a Cover Letter Is Before you can write a truly excellent cover letter, you need to have a good understanding of what a cover letter is. What is its purpose? What is its goal? How does it help you to write and have a cover letter with your job application materials? Start by realizing what a cover letter is. The Balance explains that a cover letter is â⦠a document sent with your resume to provide additional information on your skills and experienceâ¦. The letter provides detailed information on why you are qualified for the job you are applying for⦠specific information on why youâre a strong match for the employerâs job requirementsâ¦. Employers use cover letters as a way to screen applicants for available jobs and to determine which candidates they would like to interview.â Knowing what a cover letter is and what it will provide employers helps you to figure out exactly the best way to write one. What information do you need to provide to really sell yourself? Even if your writing is not top notch, having the right information in your cover letter will help you to attract job offers and potential employers. pexels.com Use a Template If you still feel overwhelmed by the prospect of writing a cover letter and are not sure if your writing is up to snuff for the job, then using a template is highly recommended! Different kinds of jobs require different information, so you do need to find or create a template that will really work for you and not just the first thing you find or create. If you decide to create your own template, just work really hard to write the best cover letter for your industry as you can. You know your field and what you want to do best, and it is highly recommended that you work to create your own template first if you can. It might be a little scary to do, but once you have your template, you can use it over and over again for all your job hunting needs with only minor tweaks. If you decide to go down this route, you should definitely visit your Career Center on campus to get help writing one so that you feel absolutely confident in the material that you are sending out. If you do not feel comfortable to write your own outline of a cover letter, go online as there are many templates out there. You just need to make sure you are picking one that is well written and better tailored to your needs than any old generic template. You do want your cover letter to be interesting and relevant to the job opportunity, so just be sure to make the wisest choice! Customize Your Cover Letter One step you always need to make you take and do not skip is customizing your cover letter! It is great if you have a template to use, but you need to customize that template, usually for every single job you apply for. There is always something a little bit different about the job posting that you should tailor your cover letter to. Show your best self, not your laziest self, and put your best foot forward. Writing a cover letter might take a little bit more work, but when the job offers come rolling in, the results will have been worth it!

ALOHA Helps Your Kids Exercise Their Brains - ALOHA Mind Math
ALOHA Helps Your Kids Exercise Their Brains Health and fitness are areas that we have started getting more serious about, not just for us but for our children too. The term âfitnessâ must ideally be a combination of physical and mental health. As parents, we try to incorporate physical activities and de-stressors such as yoga in our childrenâs schedules. What are the ways in which you could stimulate their minds equally as well? A conventional classroom might utilize the left side of the brain that contains the centers for speech, writing and analytical thinking. The right side is also known as the creative side and contains the areas dealing with analysis by touch, creativity and spatial visualization. This is the part that is often not âexercisedâ enough by many of us, which is the case with our kids too. Activities like Dance and Theatre could be ways of stimulating the right side of the brain, and these go along in addition to other conventional teaching methods quite well. Rather than pursuing different activities, there is a single method by which you could stimulate both the sides of the brain. Learning Math using the Abacus is a great way to stimulate complete brain activity and development as it combines spatial recognition with analytical learning. At ALOHA, our youngest entrants learn Math concepts using a physical abacus and other activity-based materials. This helps form a strong foundation in the subject and improves their concentration. At the Junior level, we also ensure that learning remains a fun-filled activity to make your children want to keep coming back to class. As they grow older and more proficient, the children progress to solving complex Math problems using visualization of the Abacus rather than the physical tool itself. The use of mental theory helps them move from addition and subtraction to complex multiplication problems over the course of the program. The stimulation provided by our methods of teaching also leads to an improvement in attention span and mental focus, due to the activity in both parts of the brain. This means that you would be able to see the results of the ALOHA program not just in Math, but also in the childâs overall performance at school. About ALOHA Mind Math ALOHA Mind Math has been guiding children between the ages of five through 12 years to achieve academic excellence since 2007. The interactive learning process is proven to enhance a childâs math, reading and writing capabilities. The teachers also assist children in developing skills and abilities such as observation and listening that result in the overall growth of the child. ALOHA Mind Math is currently training children all over the United States of America with more than 150 centers. Give Your Child a Chemistry Keychain
Give Your Child a Chemistry KeychainA good gift for a child who loves chemistry is a chemistry keychain. In the fall of their sixth grade year, I gave a first-grade girl a chemistry keychain made from colorful fairy figurines. This gift was not only thoughtful and a wonderful touch for a girl who loves science, but it was a perfect gift for that class that had fewer gifts than usual. My daughter loves to collect all kinds of chemistry accessories and fun things, so this gift was a unique one. It's not easy to find a gift for a girl in her age group who loves chemistry. That is because chemistry can be a very tough subject for kids. It's almost like telling them that they can't do something because there are objects out there that can actually do what they want to do.The chemistry keychain I gave to my daughter helped her understand that chemistry doesn't have to be difficult. It's fun. Not only does she love the figurines she has, but she also likes the matching other toys that were a lso included in the gift. So, she is becoming a real chemistry fan. Before the gift, she didn't know how to open her keyring. After she received her keychain, she opened it up and figured out that she could hold it just fine in her hand. And when she needed a pencil to do her science homework, she knew she could use the keychain to hold her favorite graphite. As the years have gone by, my daughter has enjoyed chemistry even more, and now she goes to her school's fifth grade chemistry lesson. She thinks it's a cool thing to do, but most of the other kids have not taken to the lesson as well as she has. Even though most of them haven't taken chemistry yet, my daughter said the fifth grade was just as fun as sixth grade.By giving a gift like this, you can help your child's development of learning, even if they never take chemistry in fifth grade. Some of them will get interested, but it's good to remember that you don't need to teach them all at once.If your child isn't ready to take che mistry in sixth grade, give them a keychain. You can let them enjoy a science toy, and they'll feel better about taking it in the future.

Creating a Welcoming Environment in a Tutoring Setting
Creating a Welcoming Environment in a Tutoring SettingCreating a welcoming environment in a tutoring setting is important. Students need to feel that they are respected and wanted, and need to feel like they have some place to go when they need it. If students know there is someone that they can go to for help, and that others are looking for them, then they will feel more secure and will want to come back and have their lessons. If you want to create a welcoming environment, it is easy to do. You can create a list of common questions that all students might have, so that the staff can help in answering those questions. Even if you don't know what questions students are asking and are only providing information, you can still build a welcoming environment. If you notice that your school has lots of students walking by the main entrance in the morning, or that there are lots of students outside of the building, then you can add up to that space and put a sign up that says, 'Meet people' . What this does is that you are providing an opportunity for students to meet people in the area. When students walk through the door, they will see that all the doors are open and say, 'Welcome to the tutoring center'. This creates a feeling of comfort for everyone and creates a feeling of belonging. All students know that they have a group of people that look out for them, and that they can get help from. The same can be done in the classroom environment as well. If there are students that are sitting at desks and not talking to anyone, you can put up a sign that says, 'I'm an incoming student and need assistance'.If you're starting an interaction class and want students to notice you, you can make sure that there is someone you can look up with information. If they get an outgoing student on the phone, then they will feel confident that you have someone to contact for their questions. When students get lost, and need directions, then you can always call that person up and let them know that you are looking for them.Creating a welcoming environment in a tutoring setting isn't as hard as you may think, but it is an important part of how you can make your class, or a tutoring class, successful. All it takes is just one little bit of effort to make a difference in the way that you interact with your students.
